Choice of planting locations

 

In choosing locations for landscaping, we often have to take many different factors into consideration: traffic situations, the public nature of the green space, the expectations of residents and visitors, and, of course, the landscaping budgets.

When selecting new planting sites or when redeveloping existing plantings, it is important to include the possibilities for using flower bulbs in the checklist of potential planting materials. As indicated earlier in this booklet, there are countless possibilities for using flower bulbs – it’s up to you, as the person doing the planning and developing, to determine which use would be best for the site. Besides aesthetics, several technical factors play important roles in integrating flower bulbs into a planting.
