Where are those flower bulbs going?

Many of them are sold in other countries. They may be sold directly to the company that will be exporting them, but many bulbs are also sold at auction. People living in countries where it’s not very warm are the biggest buyers of our flower bulbs. And this means a lot of money for our country.

Our government is also happy about the cultivation of flower bulbs. Many flower bulbs are sold to people who love gardening. They buy them in shops or at garden centres. Many people also order flower bulbs from mail order catalogues that are sent to their homes. The bulbs are then planted in gardens or on balconies.
